If you have decided that you want to become an au pair in America you will receive information about the country, estimated costs, visa information…
Step 2: Application form
It is free of charge to send us your general application form (that is the form without references and the medical check).
Step 3: Interview
You will be interviewed so that we can get to know you better and to see if being an au pair in America is the right choice for you.
Step 4: Your personal file
After you have received all the information about being au pair in America and decided that this is what you want to do, you have to complete your application form with other necessary documents such as e.g. references, dear host family letter etc. By sending us these documents, you are obligated to follow the terms and conditions of the program.
Step 5: Search for your family
Our partners in America carefully chose families and only do a placement when there is a 100% match. You will be able to contact your family, which gives you a chance to get to know them and to ask as much as possible. If you would not decide for each other, we will look for another family. However, you need to have a good reason for refusing.
Step 6: Visa
After you have found a host family we will apply for your visa.
Step 7: Welcome to the United States of America!
Upon arrival you will have a 4 days orientation before you go to your family. In this orientation, you learn more about American life, how children are raised, first aid course etc.
Step 8: During your au pair in America time
During your stay you’ll have ongoing support, au pair meetings, travel information…
Step 9: Before your return home
Prior to departure, we will assist in helping you to reconfirm your return flight.
